LASIE (Large Scale Information Exploitation of Forensic Data) is a European project which aims at the design and implementation of a new platform in order to help analysts with forensic investigations by providing an advanced automated initial analysis, processing, management and combination of data. These mechanisms edit a vast amount of data of different formats that have been acquired from a variety of different sources.
For data regarding legal and ethical issues, specialized staff will assist the platform. After editing the data, the results will be stored in a knowledge base and afterwards they will undergo cognitive analysis.

This proposed knowledge representation framework will allow the system, among other things, to make recommendations to analysts, guiding them throughout the investigation. The user will be able to retrieve evidence through a search mechanism with user-friendly interface with complex query formulations.

The contribution of NEUROPUBLIC to this project is mainly about text editing, control and validation of the whole system.
