NEUROPUBLIC implements the project for the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) of the European Space Agency (ESA).
It consists of two sub-projects: the Raw Data Central Repository (RADACER) and the Generic Data Ingestion System (GEDAIS).
The objective of RADACER is to establish a central repository that can be used to store, for each mission, all past raw data and to put in place automated mechanisms whereby all future data can also be stored automatically. GEDAIS’ objective is to be able to take raw data as input and output products that contain reconstructed unprocessed instrument data at full resolution annotated with ancillary information included but not applied. The output products for a given mission could potentially be stored and serve as input for the mission’s data processing pipeline.
RAWDAR began in February 2015 and is under development.
