IPM Decisions is a Horizon 2020 project that aims to facilitate the wide scale use of decision support systems (DSS) for implementing Integrated Rest Management (IPM) on the field.

In short

The impact of these decision support systems (DSS) on crop protection has been limited due to:

  • the factors’ regional and sectorial fragmentation
  • the insufficient testing and benefit quantification of the DSS
  • the capability of DSS support only for individual pests and diseases, while the decision-making of the farmers has to include all pests and diseases.

The “IPM Decisions” project will combat these limitation and allow for innovation, creating a “one-stop shop” that will provide DSS, data, tools and resources through an E.U.-wide electronic platform and an IPM decision network as is defined by the European Regulations and the National Action Plan for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides.

Emphasis will be given to providing DSS for basic pests and diseases of large scale cultivations on an open field.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, under Grant Agreement No. 817617.
