NEUROPUBLIC participated in the Stakeholder Forum & Project Meeting of the NIVA project, both held at the unique island of Santorini, Greece, between September 26-27 and Sep 28-29 respectively.

The NIVA project set out on an ambitious journey to develop a New Vision of Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) in Action. After more than 3 years of working, it was needed to check the implications of its vision towards the current and future implementation actions on the CAP. NIVA has developed many relevant results that link to IACS and its evolutions, in different ways. Project’s innovations involve various stakeholders and have different implications for their groups in terms of administrative burden, ease-of-use and applicability. This results conference set out to critically reflect on the general directions of the CAP, the main innovations of NIVA, and the implications for future aspects.

A lot of fruitful presentations, discussions, and interactive workshops took place during an event exemplary organized by OPEKEPE, the Greek Paying Agency. The same Agency presented NIVA DSS, a Decision Support System co-developed by NEUROPUBLIC.

With the aim of crop classifications based on satellite imagery, geotagged photos submitted by farmers, and Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) data from applications like gaiasense, the openly available System is able to reduce the administrative burden and increase the reliability related to Aid Schemes’ management.
