NEUROPUBLIC contributes to the ClimateSmartAdvisors Train the Trainer programme

The four-day ClimateSmartAdvisors Train the Trainer programme was held from 28 September to 1 October 2026 at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences of Széchenyi István University (University of Győr) in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary.

Representing NEUROPUBLIC, Dr. Eleftherios Petrakis served as a Climate Smart Coach within the project. Through hands-on group work and knowledge exchange with experts from across Europe, participants explored climate mitigation and adaptation actions, farmer engagement, reward mechanisms, the development of Communities of Practice, cooperation across AKIS and effective facilitation methods.

The field visits showcased climate-smart farming practices focusing on soil health, biodiversity, sustainable input management and the long-term resilience of agricultural production. A key takeaway was that trusted advisor–farmer relationships and collaborative learning are essential for turning climate knowledge into practical action. The insights and experience generated through CoPs can also benefit the wider advisory and farming communities.
