Innovative technological solutions for the wine making sector with NEUROPUBLIC’s contribution

The SMARTWINERY Stakeholder Event, organized by NEUROPUBLIC in collaboration with SantoWines in Santorini island, Greece, on 12 June 2026, was successfully completed, bringing together wine producers, winemakers, researchers and industry professionals to explore the future of digital winemaking.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the SMARTWINERY project, its objectives, activities and key results, as well as the transformative role that digital technologies can play in enhancing productivity, efficiency and sustainability across the wine sector.

The event showcased the fully digitalized “smart winery” developed within the project, the SMARTWINERY data management platform and decision support system, and the results from the 2025 harvest and winemaking campaign carried out at the project’s pilot facility in Spain.

Attendees also had the opportunity to visit the state-of-the-art SantoWines winery facilities and participate in a wine tasting session featuring wines produced at the SMARTWINERY pilot winery, alongside selected SantoWines labels.

The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and networking, highlighting how innovation and digitalization can drive the sustainable development and competitiveness of the wine industry.
