News ◦ 28—07—2016

NEUROPUBLIC was one of the supporters of MED Hackathon (http://medhackathon.eu), an international event which was hosted at the Conference & Cultural Center of the University of Patras, Greece between 13-15/7/2016, aiming to facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of open data, as well as its exploitation in different sectors.

MED Hackathon was organized by the European Regional Framework for Cooperation (ERFC), The Computer Engineering & Informatics Department (CEID) of University of Patras and the EU project SDI4Apps. The event was attended by more than 100 participants from 15 countries, who represented both public and private sector bodies that are activated in the field of open data.

NEUROPUBLIC actively contributed to thecontent of MEDHackathon, including a presentation on the exploitation of open agricultural data for commercial purposes, presenting as a use case the Smart Farming services that it designs and develops. At the same time, NEUROPUBLIC contributed to the Open Data Hackathon of the event, inviting participants to work on addressing issues that are common during the recording of data from sensors (you can find more info on the NEUROPUBLIC Challenge at the MED Hackathon blog: http://medhackathon.eu/index.php/blog/item/89-neuropublic-s-challenge-on-gaia-sense-data).
