The gaiasense system is being applied to cotton cultivation in Orestiada, a crop for the irrigation, fertilization and crop protection of which the necessary scientific models have been developed.

In cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperatives’ Union of Orestiada, gaiasense’s smart farming services that have been develop for cotton cultivation are being adjusted to the microclimatic conditions of the area, in order to ensure the best possible results.

These are services that will focus on optimizing irrigation, fertilization and crop protection of the crop from the main pests and diseases, such as the cotton bollworm.

In this way, the cotton producers of Orestiada will benefit from reduction in the production cost and the higher precision in the management of their cultivation.
