The SymbloT project aims to provide the average Greek farmer with affordable, high quality navigation and precision farming services through the incorporation of GNSS capabilities to field telemetric stations.

In short

The SymbloT is a project funded by the «RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE» Action, «Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship, Innovation» Operational Programme, National Strategic Reference Framework 2014-2020 (EPAnEK–ESPA 2014-2020) and aims at resolving significant challenges in the precision farming sector.

The SymbloT project aims to provide the average Greek farmer with affordable precision farming services that are characterised by very high degree of accuracy in positioning determination of the agricultural machinery, vehicles and other measuring devices; accuracy within 10 centimetres.

It will be based on a combination of complimenting technologies and systems that have to do with advanced GNSS, positioning systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), communication protocols, unmanned vehicles, earth observation systems a.o., which will be interconnected via an integrated platform.

The SymbloT project introduces advanced capabilities of position determination, allowing the development of new applications in the precision farming sector that, among other things, support the spatial mapping, agricultural equipment navigation and the automated navigation of unmanned vehicles in the field.

NEUROPUBLIC is the coordinator of the project, in which the Agenso company and the Agricultural Cooperative Pegasus Agrifood (Pigasos Agrodiatrofi) also participate.
